The fork crown impact tool allows you to mount the fork crown race quickly and accurately on the fork crown seat. Use: Use the impactor to knock the crown ring of the headset onto the fork crown. * First select the appropriate adapter sleeve and make sure it fits securely in the impactor. * The adapters have a chamfer on one side of the bore to avoid the crown ring jamming and to avoid damage to crown rings with a sealing lip. * The integrated guide in the impact sleeve ensures exact tool centring on the steerer tube and prevents the crown ring from tilting during seating. The impactor must not be used as a hammer! * Grease the fork crown seat lightly with bearing grease beforehand. * Use a suitable hammer when striking the top. Note: Check before installation that the crown race matches head tube inner diameter. If not, use the Cyclus Tools art. 720003 / art. 720004 / art. 720034 for milling the crown race seat of the fork.
